A hidden gem near Gare du Nord and Montmartre!

Very nice and basic hotel on a perfect location for us. Near Gare du Nord and near Montmartre. The elevator is very tiny but you fit in with two people plus suitcases. The room is very tidy and we slept like roses. Wait till you see the breakfast room, it is surprisingly beautiful!

The only good thing about this hotel is its location across the Gare Du Nord. Thats it. We arrived in Paris around 11 p.m., and upon checking in, we were told that we had only one room, even though we had prepaid for two rooms for two nights. Then they arranged an even worse room in the nearby hotel. The room we got on the 6th floor was hardly 8 feet by 8 feet with dirty, stained bed sheets. I don't know when the toilet was appropriately cleaned last time. We could hear people talking in the other rooms. The hotel policy was if we were to go outside we had to leave the key in the reception, I have never seen this kind of policy in the hotel. And I never felt comfortable with that. I must say, "Stay Away"

Basic hotel in a good location for transport. Breakfast was an additional charge of €8.50 and wasn’t worth it. Things like yoghurt and butter were not kept chilled and one day the milk came out in lumps! It really needed a good clean as there was a lot of mould in our room and bathroom. 4 nights was enough!

I love old buildings but I dislike dirty buildings! The place was a health risk with mould in the windows, ceilings and bathroom. Breakfast was served in the dungeon, sorry downstairs room. We had to keep asking for hot water and milk etc. For an additional €8.50 I expected more. On the last day the milk came out in a lump! Not good.

Do yourself a favor, spend the extra few dollars/Euros and stay at the IBIS across the street. Check-in was a disaster. We reserved two rooms. We received an email saying check-in was at 1 p.m. We, along with everyone else attempting to check-in, didn't get rooms until much later. It seemed the hotel was cleaning your room once you checked-in. The staff did allow us to store our bags. It's an older hotel so you don't expect modern up to date rooms, but the rooms were dingy and the walls were dirty. There was gum and other material stuck to the walls next to our bed (which is noticeable in a small room). The hotel's website was deceiving about the availability of air-conditioned rooms. One of our reserved rooms was a double room but we were told at check-in there we two types of double rooms and we had reserved one without air conditioning. I showed the staff the website describing the double room. After some back and forth and a request to get our money back so we could go somewhere else, we eventually were able to get a room with AC. The breakfast was pretty good and the lady working the breakfast room was very nice and helpful. She was the highlight of the stay.
